RadiologyOur digital radiography unit is made up of three separate computer systems which are all linked together. The first unit, called the Digitizer develops the image we take with the x-ray machine. The images are then sent to the Viewstation, where they can be viewed and manipulated to show greater detail and contrast. Image manipulation allows the doctor to see anatomical structures more clearly so they can identify abnormalities quickly. The Viewstation is also where all images are archived so that our doctors can review patient images at any time. These images are stored as a permanent part of your pet's medical records. The last unit is called the Pacsvue, which is essentially a station for viewing images only. This unit is located in our consulation room so that the doctor can review patient images with the pet owner. |
